Swamp Cooler Season

6/17/2016 (Permalink)

Yikes! Summer is already here in a hurry. It just seemed like yesterday when we were still worrying about freezing on the Western Slope. If you havent turned on your swamp cooler yet, you better hurry, the hundred degree weather is right around the corner. Here are some helpful hints when preparing your swamp cooler:

1) Check For Leaks- It can happen so fast! Water Damage from a Swamp Cooler Leak can be devastating!

2) Clear the debris- Fall leaves, grass, and dirt can build up in your pan and on your filters. Regularly check and clean, they can make a huge difference!

3) Double Check all your work- Once you successfully install and have your swamp cooler functioning properly, double check to make sure there are no leaks in the pan and the water supply line.

We all love the cool moist air of evaporitive cooling, but the effects of a water loss can be devastating. Please make sure you regularly check your swamp coolers. If you experience any issues resulting in water damage, please don't hesitate to call SERVPRO Montrose/Telluride at (970)240-6970, we cannot wait to show you what "Like it never even happened" means.
